Fourth ranked Legia (13-8) crushed at home 11th ranked Pogon Prudnik (7-14) by 40 points 101-61, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Legia. Pogon Prudnik managed to win second period 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Legia dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Pogon Prudnik's 28 and made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Pogon Prudnik 42-14 including a 34-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. Legia looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Marcel Wilczek (204-86, agency: Promotex) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Newly promoted Legia maintains fourth place with 13-8 record, which they share with Znicz Basket. Pogon Prudnik at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Astoria Bydg. and GKS Tychy. Legia will meet Spojnia (#8) in the next round. Pogon Prudnik will play against the league's leader Sokol Lancut and hope to secure a win.
