Regular Season Round 21: Castello - Canarias 97-50

LEB Silver top team - Castello (16-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Canarias (7-13) in Castellon 97-50. The game without a history. Castello led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Canarias' 34. Castello players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Guard Manuel Rodriguez (192-91) stepped up and scored 26 points for the winners and center Victor Hidalgo (204-86) chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Castello players scored in double figures. Castello's coach Toni Ten felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Kaleb Wright (193, college: Emporia St.) with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Roberto Guerra (196-83) scored 4 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Castello maintains first place with 16-4 record. Canarias lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the twelfth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Azpeitia. Castello will play against Cambados (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Canarias will play against Meridiano Alicante (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
