Regular Season Round 24: CFBB - Quimper 62-66

Date: February 27, 2015
Rather expected game in Paris where 16th ranked CFBB (3-21) was defeated by fourteenth ranked Quimper UJAP (9-15) 66-62. It looked good early as CFBB took a 10-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Quimper UJAP took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 4 points. They made 23-of-26 charity shots (88.5 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American center Will Creekmore (205-89, college: Missouri St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and guard Gary Staelens (189-84) supported him with 11 points. Even 10 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists by point guard Arthur Leboeuf (175-97) did not help to save the game for CFBB. Center Jonathan Jeanne (212-97) added 6 points and 6 rebounds. CFBB's coach Jean-Aime Toupane rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Quimper UJAP maintains fourteenth position with 9-15 record. CFBB lost twenty first consecutive game. They stay dead last with 21 lost games. Quimper UJAP will have a break next round. CFBB will play on the road against Mulhouse Basket (#12) and hope to win that game.
