Very important is a road loss of second ranked Castello (16-5) against eighth ranked Cambados (11-10) on Saturday night. Visiting Castello was defeated by Cambados in a tough game in Cambados 67-71. Cambados outrebounded Castello 39-23 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. American-Irish forward Mike Callaghan (195, college: Wesleyan) notched 20 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and Congolese forward Charles Nkaloulou (199-94) supported him with 11 points and 9 rebounds. Even 17 points and 6 rebounds by forward Juan Cabot (200-88) did not help to save the game for Castello. Guard Manuel Rodriguez (192-91) added 12 points for lost side. Cambados maintains eighth position with 11-10 record, which they share with Avila. Castello at the other side keeps the second place with five games lost. Cambados will play against higher ranked Meridiano Alicante (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
