Not a big story in a game in Szczecin where 14th ranked Wilki Morskie (6-16) was defeated by first ranked Stelmet (17-4) 76-70 on Saturday. Wilki Morskie trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 21-13 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 70-76 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was American-Georgian swingman Quinton Hosley (201-84, college: Fresno St.) who scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. The former international point guard Lukasz Koszarek (187-84) chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian-Slovenian power forward Ivan Marinkovic (209-93) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized Ukrainian Vitaliy Kovalenko (203-84) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Four Wilki Morskie players scored in double figures. Stelmet maintains first place with 17-4 record. Newly promoted Wilki Morskie keeps the fourteenth position with 16 games lost. Stelmet will face Trefl (#8) in Sopot in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Wilki Morskie will play on the road against Energa Czarni (#6) in Slupsk and hope to win that game.
