Regular Season Round 22: Canarias - Lucentum 62-59

The most important game in the last round took place in Gran Canaria between third ranked Meridiano Alicante (14-7) and eleventh ranked Canarias (8-13) on Saturday night. Meridiano Alicante was edged by Canarias in a tough game on the road 59-62. The hosts trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 26-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American guard Kaleb Wright (193, college: Emporia St.) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Roberto Guerra (196-83) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Canarias' coach Pepe Carrion used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side forward Eduardo Guillen (201-88, agency: Interperformances) responded with 20 points (perfect from downtown making all five shots) and point guard Adrian Fuentes (183-87) scored 7 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Canarias moved-up to tenth place, which they share with FC Barcelona II. Meridiano Alicante at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the third position with seven games lost.
