Penarol paved their way into Liga Americas Final Four. They fired past Halcones Rojos for the second straight victory in Group F. Penarol therefore clinched the position among top two teams of the group. Luciano Massarelli and Martin Leiva netted 18 points each for Penarol in the victory. Penarol dominated from the opening minutes. The Argentinean team piled up a 40:31 halftime lead. Halcones Rojos pulled within 5 points at the final intermission. But the hosts responded with a furious 28:13 run in the fourth term to ice the win. Alejandro Konsztadt delivered 18 points and 7 rebounds in the victory. Tu Holloway responded with 14 points for Halcones. Devin Ebanks tossed in 12 points in the loss.
