Regular Season Round 22: Bourg - Nancy 83-68

Bottom-ranked JL Bourg managed to get a fifth victory. This time newly promoted JL Bourg won against sixth-ranked Sluc Nancy 83-68. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 15-point difference suggests that JL Bourg is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. The game was mostly controlled by JL Bourg. Sluc Nancy was better in third quarter 27-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American center Devin Booker (206-91, college: Clemson) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Jordan Theodore (182-89, college: Seton Hall) chipped in 13 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four JL Bourg players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international Florent Pietrus (202-81) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and American-Bulgarian point guard Keydren Clark (180-84, college: St.Peter's) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. JL Bourg (5-17) moved-up to seventeenth place, which they share with Boulogne. Sluc Nancy at the other side keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. JL Bourg will play against higher ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (#10) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Sluc Nancy will play against SPO Rouen (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
