The game between closely ranked teams ended with 12th ranked BV Chemnitz 99's (9-16) home loss to eleventh ranked SC Rasta Vechta (11-14) 71-76 on Sunday. American guard Chase Griffin (188-83, college: Pepperdine) fired 17 points for the winners. Center Oliver Mackeldanz (212-90) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. American forward Andre Calvin (201-85, college: Drake) produced 18 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import guard Stacy Wilson (190-90, college: Murray St.) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. SC Rasta Vechta moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Kirchheim and Baunach. BV Chemnitz 99 lost their third game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 16 games lost. SC Rasta Vechta will face higher ranked Nuernberg (#3) in Nurnberg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BV Chemnitz 99 will play on the road against Bayer Giants (#15) in Leverkusen and hope to win that game.
