Regular Season Round 36: Hitachi SR - Hiroshima D. 105-69

An interesting game for Hitachi Sunrockers (30-7) which hosted in Tokyo 3rd ranked Dragonflies (15-20). First ranked Hitachi Sunrockers had an easy win 105-69. Hitachi Sunrockers looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Dragonflies' players. 25 personal fouls committed by Dragonflies helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American power forward Joshua Heytvelt (210-86, college: Gonzaga) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. International power forward Joji Takeuchi (207-85, agency: N.E.T.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Hitachi Sunrockers players scored in double figures. Hitachi Sunrockers' coach Michael Olson felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International power forward Kosuke Takeuchi (206-85) replied with 25 points and 8 rebounds and Senegalese center Pape Faye (200-87) added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Dragonflies. Hitachi Sunrockers have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 30-7 record. Dragonflies lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the third place with 20 games lost. Hitachi Sunrockers are looking forward to face Wakayama T. (#5) on the road in the next round. Dragonflies will play against Chiba Jets and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
