Asseco (12-9) survived in overtime against Energa Czarni (12-8) by five points 84-79 on Wednesday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Energa Czarni. Energa Czarni trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 23-10 run in the last quarter tied the game at the end of regular time, But then they lost eventually overtime period 8-13. The best player for the winners was American point guard A.J. Walton (184-90, college: Baylor) who scored 28 points, 9 assists and 6 steals. Lithuanian center Ovidijus Galdikas (217-88) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds. Four Asseco players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Kyle Shiloh (188-85, college: Nevada) who recorded 19 points and 4 assists and swingman Karol Gruszecki (193-89, college: Texas Arlington) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Asseco maintains seventh place with 12-9 record. Energa Czarni at the other side keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Asseco will face Stabill Jezioro (#13) in Tarnobrzeg in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
