The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Sojuz Zaretchny (24-6) at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Dynamo-CBK (15-15) 83-73. Dynamo-CBK outrebounded Sojuz Zaretchny 36-19 including 23 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. It was a great evening for power forward Rostislav Karenin (202-94) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Point guard Kirill Pisklov (195-96) helped adding 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Dynamo-CBK players scored in double figures. point guard Artur Uskov (178-91) responded with 25 points and power forward Stanislav Sarafankin (195-93) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Sojuz Zaretchny's coach Aleksandr Drankov rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Dynamo-CBK maintains fifth place in League with 15-15 record. Sojuz Zaretchny at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. Dynamo-CBK are looking forward to face league's second-placed Tambov on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sojuz Zaretchny will play against Elbrus Cherk. and is hoping to win this game.
