No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked USC Leipzig (12-12) edged at home 11th ranked Itzehoe (10-14) 80-78 on Saturday. USC Leipzig made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Center Marian Schick (204-86) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 9 rebounds. American center Khalil Kelley (203-91, college: Pacific) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five USC Leipzig players scored in double figures. American swingman Jonathon Williams (198-90, college: Wagner) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks and Canadian center Renaldo Dixon (206-90, college: N.Mexico St.) added 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for Itzehoe. Itzehoe's coach Paul Larysz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the third consecutive win for USC Leipzig. They moved-up to sixth place in Group North, which they share with Magdeburg and Braunschweig. Itzehoe lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost.
