No shocking result in a game when second ranked Akita Happinets (31-8) defeated at home 10th ranked Yokohama BC (10-27) 102-93 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 102-93. Akita Happinets outrebounded Yokohama BC 40-29 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Deshawn Stephens (203-89, college: San Diego St.) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds. Four Akita Happinets and five Yokohama BC players scored in double figures. Akita Happinets maintains second place with 31-8 record behind leader Kyoto Hannar. Loser Yokohama BC keeps the tenth position with 27 games lost. Akita Happinets will face again Yokohama BC (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
