Bottom-ranked Wikana Start managed to get a sixth victory, breaking the three-game losing streak on Saturday night. This time newly promoted Wikana Start won against fifteenth-ranked Polpharma in Starogard 91-84. Polpharma trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 30-26 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 84-91 at the end of the game. Wikana Start made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. American guard Bryon Allen (190-92, college: George Mason) notched 27 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and the former international swingman Bartosz Diduszko (198-87) supported him with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Even 23 points and 6 rebounds by American point guard Anthony Miles (185-89, college: Lamar) did not help to save the game for Polpharma. His fellow American import guard Jessie Sapp (188-86, college: Georgetown) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Wikana Start (6-16) moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Stabill Jezioro. Polpharma lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 17 games lost. Wikana Start will meet at home league's second-placed PGE Turow in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Polpharma will play against MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (#12) and hope to secure a win.
