An interesting game took place in Istanbul where 13th ranked Mamak DSI (8-16) was upset on the court of sixteenth ranked Pertevniyal (7-17) 82-74 on Saturday. Mamak DSI was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 21-12 charge of Pertevniyal, which allowed them to win the game. Pertevniyal outrebounded Mamak DSI 40-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Alfrie Kelley (183-85, college: S.Carolina) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 assists and Ahmet Duverioglu (-93) who added 14 points and 11 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. Pertevniyal's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Jason Clark (188-90, college: Georgetown) with 21 points and forward Mustafa Bakir Gorur (204-88, agency: 1x1 Sports) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pertevniyal moved-up to fifteenth place. Loser Mamak DSI keeps the thirteenth position with 16 games lost.
