Regular Season Round 23: Znicz Basket - SKK Siedlce 82-80

Thirteenth-ranked SKK Siedlce (6-17) was very close to win a game against fifth ranked Znicz Basket (14-9) in Pruszkow. Znicz Basket managed to secure only two-point victory 82-80. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-17. But SKK Siedlce won second period 25-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Znicz Basket shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. The best player for the winners was power forward Adam Linowski (201-87, agency: Promotex) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists. Adam Kaczmarzyk (198-88) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. Karol Debski (198-84, agency: Promotex) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Lukasz Ratajczak (201-86, agency: Promotex) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Znicz Basket moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Legia. SKK Siedlce lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with 17 games lost. Znicz Basket's next round opponent will be GKS Tychy (#11) on the road and are hoping to win another game. SKK Siedlce will play against Zaglebie and hope to win that game.
