Handlova eased past Iskra Svit at home court to open win count in the playoffs. The game was mostly controlled by Handlova. Iskra Svit managed to win third quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Handlova looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Iskra Svit's players. The former international Roman Vido (204-88) fired 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Croatian swingman Luka Drezga (196-87, agency: XL Basketball Agency) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Justin Black (188-92, college: Morgan St.) produced 17 points and 8 rebounds and Croatian guard Sven Smajlagic (190-90) added 14 points respectively for lost side. Four Iskra Svit players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
