Athinaikos cruised past Olympiacos to open win count in the playoffs. Athinaikos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Olympiakos to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Athinaikos forced 32 Olympiakos turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Forward Theodora Panteli (183-87, college: Binghamton) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Guard Afedoula Magaliou (168-79) chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Niki Zerva (184-79) produced 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Eytixi Deligianni (183-84) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
