Rather expected game when 10th ranked Leyma Basquet (9-13) lost to eighth ranked Palma (13-10) in Coruna 68-77. Leyma Basquet was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 40-30 second half run of Palma. The best player for the winners was American point guard John DiBartolomeo (183-91, college: Rochester, agency: Duran International) who scored 25 points. The other American import Shawn Glover (201-90, college: ORU, agency: Comsport) chipped in 18 points. DiBartolomeo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Palma's coach Angel Cepeda allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian Aleksandar Petrovic (203-87) who recorded 10 points and 8 rebounds and guard Jesus Castro (191-83) added 17 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Palma maintains eighth position with 13-10 record. Leyma Basquet at the other side keeps the tenth place with 13 games lost. Palma will have a break next round. Leyma Basquet will play on the road against CB Prat (#14) and hope to win that game.
