Regular Season Round 31: Juventus - Nevezis 81-69

Very predictable result when fifth ranked Juventus (17-11) won against 10th ranked Nevezis (5-25) in Utena 81-69 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Juventus. Nevezis managed to win second period 20-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Juventus looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for international power forward Egidijus Dimsa (204-85) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. American-Samoan point guard Rashaun Broadus (180-84, college: BYU) accounted for 11 points and 10 assists for the winning side. Four Juventus players scored in double figures. American guard Rod Camphor (191-92, college: SW Oklahoma St., agency: Octagon Europe) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 assists and the other American import guard Markus Monroe (188-89, college: Wayland Baptist) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Nevezis in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Juventus. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with P.Zvaigzdes. Nevezis lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 25 games lost. Juventus will meet league's second-placed Zalgiris in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nevezis will have a break next round.
