Semi-Finals Game 1: Santiago - Capitalinos 65-77

Capitalinos defeated Santiago for the opening victory in the semifinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Capitalinos. Santiago managed to win second period 13-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of international center Jasiel Rivero (204-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 5 rebounds. The former international Allen Jemmott (194-80) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Capitalinos' coach Rainel Panfet used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International center Javier Justiz (205-92) answered with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and Eddy Hechevarria (193-86) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Santiago.
