Capitalinos overcame a tough challenge from visiting Guantanamo to go 2-0 up in the semifinal series. Guantanamo was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 22-19 charge of Capitalinas, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Guantanamo outrebounded Capitalinas 44-29 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international center Klavdia Calvo (186-83) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds. Center Zuleira Atis (190-80) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Yunieski Bouly (184-92) produced 19 points and 8 rebounds and forward Sandra Enamorado (174-84) added 13 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Guantanamo players scored in double figures.
