Very predictable result when second ranked Solna Branten (13-3) defeated on the road 9th ranked Jarfalla (6-9) 85-71 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Solna Branten. Jarfalla was better in second period 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Solna Branten forced 19 Jarfalla turnovers and outrebounded them 43-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. Jarfalla was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Swingman Patrik Horman (186-94) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Simon Makkonen (186-94) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Solna Branten players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Nemanja Jovanovic (200-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) and American point guard Corrie Sutherlin (185-81) scored 14 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Solna Branten keeps a position of BEHS forts leader. Newly promoted Jarfalla keeps the ninth place with nine games lost. Solna Branten will face Orongo Dragons (#8) in Sundsvall in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Jarfalla will play at home against KFUM Blackebergs and hope to win that game.
