Regular Season Round 16: MZT Skopje - Kozuv 72-60

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked MZT Skopje as it allowed them to take a leadership position. MZT Skopje defeated 6th ranked Kozuv at home 72-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kozuv. The game was mostly controlled by MZT Skopje. Kozuv managed to win second period 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Kozuv to just 7 points in third and fourth quarters. They outrebounded Kozuv 41-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. Serbian Uros Lucic (207-83) fired 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Bosnian-Montenegrin swingman Sead Sehovic (197-89) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Four MZT Skopje players scored in double figures. Serbian guard Slobodan Dundjerski (188-88, agency: Interperformances) produced 18 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian Filip Sepa (198-90, agency: Beo Basket) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MZT Skopje (11-3) have an impressive five-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Rabotnicki. Kozuv at the other side keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. Just two games before the end of Regular Season and it may be the most important game of the season next round when Kozuv faces KK Strumica trying to get back on the winning streak. MZT Skopje will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Karpos Sokoli. It will be extra interesting game as Karpos Sokoli is their local rival from Skopje.
