The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Akita Happinets as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Akita Happinets smashed 11th ranked Tokyo Cinq R. at home 87-58. The game was mostly controlled by Akita Happinets. Tokyo Cinq R. managed to win fourth quarter 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Akita Happinets have a solid series of four victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Hamamatsu P. and Iwate Big Bulls. Tokyo Cinq R. lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 34 games lost. Tokyo Cinq R. will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Akita Happinets will try to continue on its current victory against eleventh ranked Tokyo Cinq R. at home.
