Regular Season Round 40: J.Hradec - Usti n/Labem 83-80

The most exciting game of round 40 in the NBL took place in J.Hradec. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked BK Usti nad Labem (18-20) to eighth ranked BK Lions Hradec (16-22) 83-80 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-80. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Donald Robinson (193-89, college: W.Virginia Tech) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Pavel Novak (199-83) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four BK Lions Hradec players scored in double figures. Canadian point guard Hernst Laroche (185-89, college: N.Mexico St.) replied with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and American center Clayton Vette (202-88, college: Winona St.) added 21 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for BK Usti nad Labem. BK Lions Hradec moved-up to seventh place, which they share with NH Ostrava. BK Usti nad Labem at the other side keeps the fifth position with 20 games lost. BK Lions Hradec is looking forward to face USK Praha (#11) on the road in the next round. BK Usti nad Labem will play against BK Pardubice (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
