Prievidza overcame Nova Ves to advance into the semifinal stage. The game without a history. Prievidza led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Nova Ves' 28. Prievidza forced 22 Nova Ves turnovers and outrebounded them 38-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Nova Ves' players. The best player for the winners was Croatian forward Igor Maric (196-85, agency: PEPI SPORT) who scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Croatian swingman Marko Batina (197-86, agency: PEPI SPORT) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Prievidza players scored in double figures. Prievidza's coach Krunoslav Krajnovic felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Stan Brown (204-90, college: Lamar) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Peter Pipiska (197-84) added 9 points respectively.
