Top ranked Malbas (8-4) recorded its fourth loss on the court of seventh ranked KFUM Uppsala on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by KFUM Uppsala 88-87. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-87. KFUM Uppsala dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Malbas' 34. KFUM Uppsala forced 23 Malbas turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Anes Zekovic (-95) who scored 24 points and 4 assists. Forward Oliver Ehrnvall (197-96) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Fredrik Larsson (200-93) produced 21 points and 9 rebounds and forward Jonathan Peleg (191-94) added 22 points and 5 assists (perfect behind the arc making all six shots !!!) respectively for the guests. Four Malbas players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. KFUM Uppsala (5-6) moved-up to sixth place in Superettan. Malbas at the other side still keep top position with four games lost. KFUM Uppsala are looking forward to face higher ranked Boras II (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Malbas will play against 08 Stockholm and are hoping to win this game.
