Regular Season Round 23: Wilki Morskie - Stabill Jezioro 92-73

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Szczecin where 13th ranked Stabill Jezioro (6-17) was crushed by fourteenth ranked Wilki Morskie (7-17) 92-73 on Sunday. The game without a history. Wilki Morskie led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Wilki Morskie had a 30-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Stabill Jezioro's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Wilki Morskie made 10 blocks. It was a great evening for American swingman Rodney Green (195-88, college: La Salle) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points. The former international swingman Pawel Kikowski (193-86) helped adding 20 points and 7 assists. Forward Jakub Patoka (200-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and U.S. Virgin Islands center Craig Williams (206-89, college: TCU, agency: SDJ Sports) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Five Wilki Morskie and four Stabill Jezioro players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Wilki Morskie moved-up to thirteenth place. Stabill Jezioro lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with 17 games lost. Wilki Morskie will have a break next round. Stabill Jezioro will play at home against Trefl (#9) and hope to win that game.
