Regular Season Round 5: Bayamon - Humacao 77-74

Important game to mention about took place in Bayamon. Tenth ranked Vaqueros (2-3) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 12th ranked Caciques (1-4) 77-74 on Wednesday evening. Caciques were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. American power forward Aaron McGhee (203-79, college: Oklahoma) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Kyle Vinales (185-92, college: Cent.Conn.St., agency: Paris Global Sports) contributed with 27 points for the winners. American swingman Ollie Bailey (201-85, college: Oklahoma City) answered with 22 points and 8 rebounds and international Devon Collier (203-91, college: Oregon St.) added 11 points in the effort for Caciques. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Vaqueros moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Mayaguez and Quebradillas. Loser Caciques stay at the bottom position with four games lost. Vaqueros will face higher ranked Maratonistas (#4) in Coamo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Caciques will play at home against Quebradillas (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
