Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked SBS Ostrava (4-16) was defeated at home by seventh ranked BLK Praha (10-10) 73-69 on Wednesday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. BLK Praha made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was point guard Hana Nezdarilova (170-84) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Center Linda Tesarikova (182-78) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Latoya Williams (192-87, college: Chipola JC) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and Serbian guard Latinka Dusanic (178-90) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BLK Praha maintains seventh place with 10-10 record. Newly promoted SBS Ostrava keeps the tenth position with 16 games lost. BLK Praha will meet at home bottom-ranked Lokomotiva Karlovy Vary (#12) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. SBS Ostrava will play against USK Praha and hope to secure a win.
