A very interesting game took place in Guayama. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 11th ranked Brujos (1-4) to eighth ranked Leones (3-2) 73-70 on Wednesday evening. Brujos were ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 39-33 second half run of Leones. The best player for the winners was American forward Terrence Shannon (203-79, college: Elgin CC, agency: Paris Global Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international Michael Rosario (190-90, college: Florida) chipped in 22 points. American center Kentrell Gransberry (206-85, college: S.Florida) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds and the other American import forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Brujos lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with four games lost. Leones' next round opponent will be Mets (#5) in Guaynabo. Brujos will play on the road against Indios (#8) in Mayaguez and hope to win that game.
