Quarter-Finals Round 1: Njardvik - Stjarnan 88-82

Njardvik held off Stjarnan for the first win in the quarterfinal series. The hosts trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 19-6 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Njardvik dominated on the defensive end, holding Stjarnan to just 6 points in third quarter. They made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Stjarnan helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a very good performance for American point guard Stefan Bonneau (177-87, college: LIU Post) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 7 assists (made all of his thirteen free throws !!!). The former international forward Mirko Virijevic (201-81, college: Freed-Hardeman) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Four Njardvik players scored in double figures. American forward Jeremy Atkinson (193-90, college: NC-Asheville) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and the former international point guard Justin Shouse (181-81, college: Mercyhurst) added 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Stjarnan.
