Semi-Finals Game 1: Pioneros - Halc.Xalapa 86-90

Date: March 19, 2015
Halcones Xalapa upset Pioneros on the road to spur ahead in the series. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. It was a great shooting night for Halcones UV Xalapa especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. 24 personal fouls committed by Pioneros helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Sam Young (198-85, college: Pittsburgh) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Adrian Henning (203-82, college: Austin Peay St.) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Shane Southwell (198-92, college: Kansas St.) answered with 21 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Justin Keenan (202-88, college: Ferris St.) added 19 points in the effort for Pioneros. Five Halcones UV Xalapa and four Pioneros players scored in double figures. Pioneros' coach Manuel Cintron rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
