Quarter-Finals Round 1: Northland - Telge 80-51

Date: March 21, 2015
Northland defeated Telge to secure 1-0 lead in the opening game of the series. Northland led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Telge to just 6 points in first quarter. Northland made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Telge 43-28 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Northland especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.5 percentage. American guard Katie Bussey (175-90, college: Montana St., agency: LBM Management) nailed 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and Slovenian center Tina Trebec (190-90) accounted for 14 points and 7 rebounds. Five Northland players scored in double figures. The former international guard Josefin Olheim (176-86) came up with 12 points and American forward Jeanise Randolph (188-91, college: Cincinnati) added 13 points respectively for Telge in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
