Semi-Finals Game 1: JX-Eneos S. - Toyota A. 83-55

JX-Eneos opened win count in WJBL semifinals. They rolled past Toyota Alvark in the opener. The game was mostly controlled by JX-Eneos S.. Toyota A. managed to win fourth quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Toyota A. to just 7 points in second quarter. JX-Eneos S. dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Toyota A.'s 26. They outrebounded Toyota A. 36-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. JX-Eneos S. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (191-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. The former international forward Yuka Mamiya (185-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds (made all of her eight free throws) for the winners. The former international forward Kazumi Suzuki (177-86) answered with 13 points and 7 rebounds and guard Saki Mizushima (171-91) added 11 points in the effort for Toyota A.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
