Regular Season Round 7: Guayama - Arecibo 74-70

Round 7 in BSN means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Guayama where host Brujos (3-4) beat league's leader Capitanes (4-2) 74-70 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Capitanes. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. The former international swingman Alejandro Carmona (194-83) chipped in 17 points. International forward Renaldo Balkman (203-84, college: S.Carolina) produced 22 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Guillermo Diaz (188-85, college: Miami, FL) added 7 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Brujos moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Capitanes at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by San German. Capitanes will play next round against Mets trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Brujos will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Cangrejeros in Santurce.
