The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Lietuvos rytas as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Lietuvos rytas smashed 9th ranked Tonybet in Vilnius 99-71. The game without a history. Lietuvos rytas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Tonybet's 42. Lietuvos rytas forced 20 Tonybet turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was international Adas Juskevicius (194-89) who scored 16 points. The former international guard Martynas Gecevicius (193-88) chipped in 13 points and 5 assists. Four Lietuvos rytas players scored in double figures. Lietuvos rytas' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Martynas Linkevicius (197-85) who recorded a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds and center Dominykas Milka (203-92, college: St.Rose, NY) added 22 points respectively. Lietuvos rytas (27-4) have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Zalgiris. Tonybet lost eighteenth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with 27 games lost. Tonybet will play next round against P.Zvaigzdes trying to get back on the winning streak. Lietuvos rytas will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked Lietkabelis in Panevezys.
