FoA avoided elimination beating ToPo on the road and opening win count in the series. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-61. It was a good game for American guard Ashley Evans (175, college: Kent St.) who led her team to a victory with 21 points and 9 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Brittany Kennedy (170, college: FGCU) contributed with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Forssan Alku players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Niina Laaksonen (185-85) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks and international forward Dionne Pounds (174-84, college: Lamar, agency: Regeneracom Sports) added 19 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Torpan Pojat.
