Villeneuve are the new EuroCup champions! The French etam performed a remarkable comeback from the starting loss in the EuroCup Finals and stunned Castors Braine in Charleroi to bag the trophy. Mahoney nailed 17 points to lead the French team. Villeneuve faced a 4-point deficit after the first leg of the Finals. But the French team went on a 21:11 rally in the opening quarter to erase it. Castors Braine cut the deficit at 5-point mark at the interval 31:36. However Villeneuve went on a decisive 20:5 run in the third quarter to open a 20-point advantage. Villeneuve sank 17 points in the fourth frame and marched to the trophy. Wauters had 13 points and 10 boards, while Gomis added 10 points in the win. Trahan responded with 21 points and 12 rebounds for Castors Braine. Carpreaux tossed in 13 points in the loss.
