Semi-Finals Game 1: FSU - Valur 106-85

Date: March 26, 2015
FSU rolled past Valur for the opening victory in the semifinal series. The game was mostly controlled by FSU. Valur managed to win fourth quarter 33-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. FSU outrebounded Valur 51-37 including 36 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Valur helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Collin Pryor (198, college: Northern St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Hlynur Hreinsson (174-92) contributed with 19 points and 7 assists for the winners. American point guard Nate Garth (188-89, college: UCSB) answered with 19 points and forward Illugi Audunsson (196-92) added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Valur. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
