Regular Season Round 42: Tochigi Brex - Wakayama T. 100-57

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Tochigi Brex (34-10) crushed at home 6th ranked Wakayama T. (5-39) 100-57 on Saturday. The game without a history. Tochigi Brex led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Tochigi Brex outrebounded Wakayama T. 41-29 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. Tochigi Brex looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Wakayama T.'s players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Tochigi Brex made 7 blocks. It was a good game for American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 10 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists. The other American import guard Tommy Brenton (196-89, college: Stony Brook) contributed with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Tochigi Brex's coach Thomas Wisman felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American power forward Paul Butorac (208-83, college: E.Washington) replied with 22 points and 9 rebounds and guard Kazutaka Takashima (191-84) added 13 points in the effort for Wakayama T.Tochigi Brex have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 34-10 record having four points less than leader Hitachi SR. Wakayama T. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 39 games lost. Tochigi Brex will face Kumamoto V. (#5) on the road in the next round. Wakayama T. will play against Hokkaido L. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
