A very interesting game took place in Manati. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 9th ranked Manati (3-6) to eleventh ranked Brujos (4-6) 69-67 on Saturday evening. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Naturalized American guard Darnell Hinson (185-80, college: Northeastern St.) notched 20 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) supported him with 10 points and 15 rebounds. Even 14 points and 8 rebounds by Weyinmi Rose did not help to save the game for Manati. International power forward Ricardo Sanchez (212-87) added 15 points for lost side. Brujos moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Guaynabo. Manati lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. Brujos' next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Caciques (#12) in Humacao. Manati will play on the road against Mets in Guaynabo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
