The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Brahe Basket's (5-13) road loss to fourth ranked Eskilstuna (12-6) 84-103 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Eskilstuna. Brahe Basket was better in fourth quarter 30-29. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Eskilstuna dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Brahe Basket's 40. They outrebounded Brahe Basket 44-30 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Eskilstuna looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Brahe Basket's players. Forward Pontus Lennartsson (198-93) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) for the winners and guard Hannes Widell (183-94) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side forward Johannes Hidirsah (190-95) responded with 31 points and 9 rebounds and Moahmad Sandeed scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. The victory was the third consecutive win for Eskilstuna. They moved-up to third place in BEHS forts, which they share with Huddinge. Loser Brahe Basket keeps the fifth position with 13 games lost.
