We should mention about the upset which took place in Les Milles, where higher ranked Pays d'Aix (12-10) lost at home to eleventh ranked Aulnoye (8-14) 48-59 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Aulnoye. Pays d'Aix was better in third quarter 14-5. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Aulnoye won last quarter 22-12. They also forced 22 Pays d'Aix turnovers. Center Cora Duval (185-87) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Carole Leclair (185-89) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. Four Aulnoye players scored in double figures. American power forward Shante Evans (184-91, college: Hofstra) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and Berengere Dinga-Mbomi (172-95) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Newly promoted Aulnoye maintains eleventh position with 8-14 record. Loser Pays d'Aix keeps the sixth place with ten games lost. Aulnoye will face higher ranked LTB 29 (#8) in Pleyber-Christ in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
