Regular Season Round 26: Fos Ouest - Nantes 64-65
Date: March 28, 2015
Rather predictable result in Fos-sur-Mer where ninth ranked Nantes (15-11) edged 11th ranked Fos Ouest (11-15) 65-64 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 25-18. But Fos Ouest won second period 14-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American power forward Allen Durham (198-88, college: Grace Bible) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import swingman Marcus Relphorde (198-88, college: Colorado) chipped in 11 points and 4 assists during the contest. Durham is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Nantes' coach Franck Collineau used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Naturalized Senegalese power forward Mamadou Dia (201-78) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and American swingman Aaron Broussard (195-90, college: Seattle) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Nantes have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Roanne. Loser Fos Ouest keeps the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Nantes will face league's second-placed Monaco at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Fos Ouest will play against Poitiers (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
