Regular Season Round 42: Tochigi Brex - Wakayama T. 95-61

Rather predictable result when second ranked Tochigi Brex (34-10) rolled over at home 6th ranked Wakayama T. (5-39) 95-61 on Sunday. The game without a history. Tochigi Brex led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Wakayama T.'s 36 and made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Wakayama T. 53-28 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 23 rebounds. The other American import center Kyle Barone (208-89, college: Idaho) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Tochigi Brex players scored in double figures. Tochigi Brex's coach Thomas Wisman felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American power forward Paul Butorac (208-83, college: E.Washington) replied with 14 points and 7 rebounds and guard Hiroya Oogane (180-89) added 7 points and 7 assists in the effort for Wakayama T.Tochigi Brex have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 34-10 record having four points less than leader Hitachi SR. Wakayama T. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 39 games lost. Tochigi Brex will face Kumamoto V. (#5) on the road in the next round. Wakayama T. will play against Hokkaido L. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
