No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Twarde Pierniki (11-14) beat 13th ranked Wilki Morskie (7-18) in Szczecin 86-73 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 49-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a very good performance for Aleks Perka (200-87, college: Rice, agency: Promotex) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 5 rebounds. American point guard William Franklin (184-85, college: Bradley, agency: 011 Sports) contributed with 13 points and 8 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. Twarde Pierniki's coach Milija Bogicevic used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Rodney Green (195-88, college: La Salle) answered with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian center Uros Nikolic (207-87, agency: Beo Basket) added 17 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) in the effort for Wilki Morskie. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Twarde Pierniki moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Polfarmex KT. Wilki Morskie at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the thirteenth position with 18 games lost. Twarde Pierniki will face higher ranked Trefl (#8) in Sopot in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Wilki Morskie will play on the road against Rosa (#4) in Radom and hope to win that game.
