Very expected game when 10th ranked Braunschweig (13-14) was defeated at home by fourth ranked ratiopharm Ulm (19-9) 86-78 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 26-18. But Braunschweig won second period 22-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ratiopharm Ulm shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Greek power forward Ian Vougioukas (212-85, college: St.Louis) fired 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international point guard Per Guenther (185-88) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists.
